Walk
At 10:00am a gentle stroll around the marine lake to blow away the cobwebs. Well done to everyone who managed the walk and many thanks to Jean and Bev for organising it
Music Sessions
There was another music Session again led by Steve Burgess , Thanks to him for all his hard work. Same venue except this time it started at the later time of midday.
Song Sessions
There was also another Sing-around, this to had not moved but begun at the later time of 12:00. This was again led by Pete many thanks for all the work that he put in , not just on the day but also in planning the weekend and in producing a special edition of the Bothy Blag.
Sunday Night at the Bothy
Sunday nights celebration was held in the Blundell Arms the home of the Bothy folk club where it meets every Sunday night. For the 35th Birthday there was a glorified Singers night with residents past and present all playing their part. The night also included a Mummers play by the Southport Mummers another offshoot from the Bothy who reformed for its 35th birthday.
Many thanks to Mr Clive Pownceby who not only did a great job of comparing the evening but who has done a wonderful job of running the folk club and keeping going for many years. Thank you!
